potato wedge gratin
Recipe serves 4 hearty servings
Ingredients
- 1 clove Garlic
- 50g Butter
- 500g inspire potato wedges
- black pepper
- 300ml Milk
- 300ml double cream
- grated Nutmeg
- Set the oven to 180°C/gas 4.
- Rub butter all over the insides of a large round dish to grease it.
- Then arrange the potatoes overlapping slightly. Season them with salt and freshly ground black pepper and grated nutmeg.
- Mix the milk and cream in a pan add the garlic clove,heat until almost boiled leave to infuse for 5 minutes.
- Remove the garlic and pour over the potatoes to cover.
- Bake in a low oven for two hours. Serve when the potatoes have softened, and turned golden brown on top, and while the cream is still bubbling.
