The Grower of the Year Awards 2012 took place at the Lancaster Hotel in London on the evening of Thursday 23rd February. This glittering event, which includes Asda as one of its main sponsors, celebrates achievements by growers and suppliers across the Produce, Floral and Horticulture industry.
This year QV Foods entered the prestigious Vegetable Grower of the Year category with Cornish New Potato grower Mark Rowe of Rowe Farming. Our trade mark Cornish Crystal initiative was successfully shortlisted for this category alongside 5 other entrants. On the night the judges awarded QV and Rowe Farming a Highly Commended as runner up to Lincolnshire Field Products.
"This is a fantastic achievement" said Mark Rowe, "I have enjoyed working alongside the team at QV Foods in putting Cornish potatoes back on the new season new potato map. This award recognises all the hard work by the teams at Rowe Farming, QV Foods and Asda".
On the night Mark was presented with a framed certificate to mark this achievement.
